It is with profound sadness that Virginia Family Dental announces the passing of our beloved colleague and friend, Roxann "Rox" Jo Mathews, on Wednesday, August 12. For over three decades, Rox was not just a team member; she was a foundational pillar of our practice family, and her loss leaves an irreplaceable void.

Rox's career was a testament to dedicated service. With more than 30 years of experience as both a dental assistant and hygienist, she possessed a vast knowledge that she generously shared. Yet, it was her genuine, heartfelt care that truly defined her. Rox didn't just treat patients; she connected with them, ensuring every person who sat in her chair felt seen, heard, and valued. This same authentic care extended to her colleagues, friends, and her own family.

To work alongside Rox was a gift. She embodied the qualities we all aspire to: caring, hardworking, loyal, and utterly genuine. She put her heart and soul into everything she did, elevating our entire team simply through her presence. Rox had a special way of making everyone around her better-both as professionals and as people.

While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate an extraordinary life lived in service to others. We extend our deepest condolences to her family and all who loved her. The legacy of kindness, expertise, and unwavering dedication that Rox built at Virginia Family Dental will forever be a part of our practice's heart and history.
