David Alan Speece, 43, of Anchorage, Alaska, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, in Anchorage.He was born Dec. 5, 1969, in Hibbing, the son of Raymond D. and Jeanne L. (Kirkeby) Speece. David was an Eagle Scout who graduated from Hibbing High School and went on to study auto mechanics at Hibbing Vo-Tech. David worked as a construction worker, and he loved woodworking.
He is survived by his mother, Jeanne Speece of Hibbing; two brothers, Douglas (Kelly) Speece of Douglas, Wyo., and Daniel Speece of Hibbing; his maternal grandmother, Agnes Kirkeby of Hibbing; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond, and his brother, Patrick.
Funeral: A private family memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, in the Pilgrim’s Chapel of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
Visitation: Will be held for one hour prior to the service Saturday in the church.
Burial: Inurnment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
